It's easy to get to Fins & Feathers Plantation!

By road:
We offer a rare combination of remote wilderness in a location that is close to civilization. To get to us by road takes about an hour and a half from Jacksonville and about 45 minutes from Savannah or Brunswick. Once you exit I-95, we are only six miles away.
For the drivers...
From the north —
Take I-95 south through Georgia, past Savannah. At Exit 67 (US-17/South Newport), turn left and head south on US-17.
From the south —
Take I-95 north through Georgia, past Brunswick. At Exit 67 (US-17/South Newport), turn right and head south on US-17.
Heading south on US-17, you will cross the South Newport River. After a quarter of a mile from I-95, turn left (east) onto Harris Neck Road. The "Smallest Church in America" is on the corner. Fins & Feathers is approximately five miles from US-17. After passing the airstrip on the left, the Fins & Feathers entrance is on your left.


By air (subject to availability ):
The Plantation provides return transportation to airports in Brunswick, Jacksonville and Savannah. We also shuttle private pilots and their parties to and from the Eagle Neck Airstrip (3,700 feet of paved asphalt), which is adjacent to our property. If traveling by plane, we are happy to provide you with a vehicle during your stay.
For the pilots...
Eagle Neck airstrip is on the 199-degree radial 31.2 NM from the SAV VOR (freq 115.95) and on the 0130-degree radial 37 NM from the St. Simons VOR. GPS position is N31'38.6" W081' 19.74"; identifier is 1GA0, but may not be listed in all GPS databases.
The runway is paved 01-19, 3532' long and 41' wide. The airport elevation is 10.' Both overruns and approaches are clear. The trees on the south end are well back from the threshold. The runway is cut into a stand of 100-foot pines so it can be difficult to spot when approaching from the west.
The CTAF is 123.0, standard traffic advisories are important as much of the pattern is not visible from the ground. Low passes are discouraged. No fuel is available at Eagle Neck, but is available at St. Simons SSI or Savannah SAV.
